How To Install Network Security Toolkit NST As Virtual Machine - DIGITAL UPDATES

Hi, welcome to my niche post which will tell you how to install Network Security Toolkit. In Order To Install Network NST on VMware or Virtual Box.In Order To Choose different Operating system used by hackers Click the previous Link.First of all, we need to download VMware OR Virtual Box Start Following Below Steps.

0.) Download Vmware  Virtualbox.

If your PC is 64 bit I suggest VMware workstation or player because it is reliable and has wide customer support even you can get help on other sites too and the solutions are simple and straightforward and the most popular thing about VMware is that VMware has good intelligence if you forget to eject .ISO file it will remind you and eject it automatically if you agreed.

If your PC is 32 bit only Virtualbox will work. And bear this In your mind you Have to choose 32 bit kernel operating system files because of these lines on virtual box's site."Please note that the package architecture must fit your host operating system architecture. So if you are running a 32-bit kernel on a 64-bit capable CPU you have to install the32-bit version (x86/amd64)".
You Must Needs anyone of them For Installing Linux Distributions On Your PC without deleting or Harming Windows..The installation Process Is Simple and don't needs Any instructions but in case if you are stuck you Can Ask Without Hesitation.I guarantee the one who chooses VMware workstation will be in 80℅ less trouble.if they choose according to their kernel versions.

1.) Download NST .ISO
Now We needs to Download NST .ISO file actually NST .ISO file supports both KERNELS 32 and 64 bit which is positive point for run it in vmware and virtualbox both it will automatically download according to your Host Kernel version.
Download ISO OF NST
Download ISO OF NST

1.B) After Completing installation Move ISO image To your desired directory. And open VMware or virtual box.actually VMware and Virtual boxes are made for offices which works on servers or Networking So in offices instead of using multiple PC all the work can be done in just one PC.

1.C) Now click on create new Virtual machine for VMware or Only new for virtual box actually VMware and Virtual boxes are made for offices which works on servers or Networking So in offices instead of using multiple PC all the work can be done in just one PC.

1.D) People with VMware select typical installation.and click next to see a beginners guided wizard which means the wizard will be easy and straight forward with tips on every step when you have to make big decisions.Or even small but complicated like you will find below asking all files in one partition or split files etc.
Typical Installation
1.E) Now choose ISO file of NST which you downloaded in step 1.while we can also render our ISO file later but because its good time to be rendered and we also are ready for it to be rendered.mean our downloads and efforts aren't pending.

1.F) Now select Linux and choose version as Ubuntu 64 or 32 bit according to the Kernel of ISO file.remember Kernels are bits and most often 32bit kernels are equals to x86. So if you think that x86 is larger than 64 bit you are wrong you may know this before. But I will like to guide you what ever you can because later you could face tasks yourself and with open-mindedness.

1.G) Now Set Name And directory/location where you wants to keep your guest operating system files and name Of The operating system which is just shown to you for differentiating between other operating systems In your VMware workstation.

1.H) Now select Virtual disk space means the maximum space that can be consumed by operating for NST the minimum size is 12 GB but if you use 20-25 GB it will work smoother.Virtual Disk Space is actually a virtual/easily-removable Partition which will not hurt any thing on your Hard Disk drive at all except consuming disk space according to the usage of guest operating system.

Now Click Edit Settings for this Machine Choose Hardware From the top of the screen in-case if not already highlighted Now Click Memory And Choose RAM at least 1 GB is recommended (taught or told) by elders or experienced one's)it doesn't means it wont work if you allocate 989 MB or 2 GB.Then review the hardware Configuration and start The Machine again If machine doesn't starts don't forget to ask me in comment or via Email no Matter For Me.

Follow After Virtual Box To Complete Remaining Steps.

1.D) Now Select Name Which will be shown to you For Differentiating in between different guest operating systems And then Choose Type Which as  Linux of course and then select version. As UBUNTU 32 bit or 64 bit according to your kernel.

1.E) Now Choose RAM (random access memory) actually you will see memory written on your wizard but I told RAM to tell you the importance of it.So you will choose wisely and efficiently for smoother performance. But choose at-least 1 GB or greater because it is recommended.

1.F) Create a new virtual hard disk. Select the second option “create a new virtual hard disk now“. Hit the "create” button.Actually This will be your virtual Hard Disk But it will be primary (on which Operating Systems Boots/Depends) hard Disk for guest Operating System.

1.G) Choose your Hard Disk file type as VDI and click next then choose dynamically allocated you can Also set fixed size because Dynamically seems to be better option for us instead if sucking whole hard disk storage at once its better to increase size as per usage.

1.H) Now Choose your hard disk size From 20 to 25 GB for Good performance. But at least 12 GB is required because This machine does not know that it is Virtual Machine It will bring every Driver and software with it like it does when you Install it on your System boot Sorry for the story but its for you.Now Click Create.

(1)Choose storage
(2)choose Empty
(3)Click on DVD icon next to IDE Secondary Master
(4) Choose a Virtual CD/DVD disk file, Which is the NST ISO you have downloaded. Click OK.And now start the engine.

1.) After starting your NST a new window will appear highlight Hard Disk Install which means install network security toolkit on your hard Disk and not in live mode and hit enter.

2.) Now Click date and time From Main MENU and choose your time zone.If you wants to set it later its upon you but because you have the oppurtinity yet you should avail it set date and time according to you region if you cant find your region select united state and move forward.

3.) Now click keyboard if in case have a yellow exclamation mark sign and choose your keyboard Layout.if you don't know your keyboard then you can complete a test by clicking detect my keyboard from option menu.but mostly keyboards are English us if qwerty are first alphabets in keyboard.

4.) Now Click installation destination click on the hard disk which is shown with the name VM(if you are using VMware or VBOX(if you are using virtualbox). Then select automatically configure from popup. And Click Begin Installation From Main Installation MENU which is now unlocked if not then read point 5.

5.) Now Click network configuration if the Begin Installation button doesn't unlocked and choose your network accordingly.if in-case you uses a dial-up connection which requires some software or drivers by internet service provider(ISP).you can skip it because this point is optional.

6.) After Clicking begin installation a new Menu will appear asking for Root password and user creation set root password then confirm password the Root is actually the administrator of your Linux machine this password will be asked when you are doing something which may harm your PC if not did right Now click done on the upper left corner of that window.

7.) Now Again same menu appears select User Creation from here and type your Full name then type your username which you will use for login and type user password because Network Security Toolkit will never let you log in as root for security purposes. So this will be user account from which you log in as a user and then perform administrative tasks by password.

8.) Now you are almost Done now just let Network security toolkit (NST) to install itself and then reboot when asked  But VIRTUAL BOX USERS WILL HAVE TO READ MORE.

After the installation gets done you have to
Remove the NST ISO image. Go to settings
and choose storage under the Controller: IDE click on ISO image which you attached first and choose Remove Attachment. This step is very important otherwise, the installation will restart.
